  • Contest Rules

    There is no purchase necessary.

    To be awarded a prize the contestants must be the proper number caller, proper name drawn, the proper caller with the correct answer or a chosen contestant according to the specific contest rules as determined by WROZ-FM, WONN-FM and WLPA-AM.

    Contestants must be 18 years of age or older.  Contest winners must legally reside in the state of Pennsylvania, Maryland or Delaware. One winner is allowed, per household of the same address, within a sixty (60) day period.  Winner may win or qualify only once per 60 days on the combined radio stations WROZ-FM, WONN-FM and WLPA-AM.

    Contestants may not win the SAME prize more than once in a calendar year.  Examples include tickets to local attractions and performance theatres.

    Contestants who win a prize valued at $1,000.00 or greater will not be eligible to win again for a 12-month period, from the date the prize is won.

    Contestants/households that win a combined total of $600 or more in prizes must complete a W-9 tax form and will be taxed at the end of the calendar year.

    Contestants/households may not win more than $600 in combined prizes in a calendar year and no more than one major prize valued at over $600 in a calendar year.

    For text messaging contests, each text message sent to or received by a service subscriber of any wireless carrier may incur a standard text messaging charge in accordance with that carrier’s (Terms and Conditions) applicable to such subscriber’s particular voice/data rate plan. If a listener cannot text, a listener can enter before the published deadline by emailing the text keyword to Text HELP to 59457 for help. Text STOP to 59457 to cancel.

    Tickets to concerts, shows and sporting events will be available for pickup the day/night of the event at Will Call. Prizes are not transferable. You must take proper photo ID to claim your prize. All other prizes will be mailed the week following the conclusion of the on-air contest.  Prizes will only be mailed to the mailing address provided by the contest winner. Please note that not all prizes can be mailed.  Only prizes that fit inside a standard size envelope are able to be mailed. Hall Communications-Pennsylvania-is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.

    Winners are solely responsible for payment of all applicable federal, state, and local taxes; and any / all liabilities incurred.

    Prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days from the date of winning, unless otherwise specified by Hall Communications WROZ-FM.  Failure to claim prizes will result in forfeiture.

    Prizes are not transferable and no substitute is allowed. Prizes can not be redeemed for cash, sold, or auctioned.

    Hall Communications-Pennsylvania is responsible for complying with any and all Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding contests and giveaways.

    All materials submitted during a contest become the property of Hall Communications and Hall Communications shall have the right to use any such material in connection with the given contest. By entering a contest, the participant agrees that Hall Communications may use the winner’s name, photo, or voice in advertisements and promotion without compensation and grants Hall Communications all rights to said use.

    All employees and families of Hall Communications, participating sponsors, its agencies and employees of other radio stations are ineligible.

    Hall Communications – Pennsylvania reserves the right to serve as exclusive arbitrator in the instance of question or conflict with the rules, contestants, or other aspect of the contest.

    Hall Communications – Pennsylvania reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any contestant.

    Hall Communications – Pennsylvania reserves the right to amend these rules at any time without notice.

    Winner agrees to release, WROZ-FM, Hall Communications–Pennsylvania and Hall Communications, their sponsors, officers, directors, owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any claims related to the prize or contest prior to acceptance of the prize.

    Hall Communications-Pennsylvania reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value and require contest winner to sign a publicity and liability release form.

    Hall Communications-Pennsylvania is not responsible for phone, mail, or internet malfunctions or mishaps.

    Any violation of the Hall Communications-Pennsylvania general contest rules or rules for a specific contest will constitute disqualification and no prize will be awarded by Hall Communications or its agencies.
